My name is
Nordbergets Althena (called Ina) and I was born on 2 March,
1994.
My mother's name is Fanetta Black and my father's name is Nordic
Stars Sirius. Because I think it's such good fun I have always
wanted to do my best in obedience competitions and utility training.
I like working and when I am working nothing else exists in
the world for me. I haven't yet competed in a utility competition
but may do so this year. If that's the case it will be a search
competition. We have tried both drag? and track but search is
the most enjoyable. My best showing results are First prize
(Skl.3 Bkl.4)?
Ina came to
us as a 8 week old half-breed bitch (?). At the age of 2, I
löste ut ? her which meant no puppies. Ina is a super dog
when it comes to willingness to work. I must admit that with
the 'right' handler she could
have gone far. We have tried drag?, track and search. Because
I am not used to skiing that particular activity goes too quick
for me. If I was younger I could practice. Ina is very good
at tracking. It is the obedience part of
competitions which go wrong and this is usually because of my
competition nerves. Ina is capable of getting good results but
is, unfortunately, easily influenced by a somewhat nervous handler!
We have focused on search. Some tough training has been undertaken
to ensure competition readiness this summer but unfortunately
training was interrupted for a long period during
the fall when Ina had to be operated. She had lumps in her teats
as well as an enlarged womb so it turned out to be major operation.
But, by the summer we will be back on track! Ina is a loving
dog at home but is a little
reserved towards strangers. She tends, for the most, to approach
a stranger to investigate and if all is OK, she withdraws. When
search training we have had problems in getting Ina interested
in the search objects but it's going well now. She doesn't need
to stay and be petted now. She simply takes her roll? and comes
to me. That's a bit about Ina. Where does she sleep? In bed
with me, of course! She is acredited with 147 points. The best
